- school bus operator: means any employee of any city, parish, or other local public school board whose duty it is to transport students in any board school bus or activity bus to and from any school of suitable grade approved by the state Department of Education or to and from any school-related activity. Any school bus operator who participates in the school bus operator’s instructional program provided through the state Department of Education shall receive as remuneration the sum of six dollars for each hour of instruction in such program, not to exceed forty-eight dollars per school year.
