Minnesota Statutes 171.40 – Driver Training School Violation; Petty Misdemeanor

A violation of any provision of sections 171.33 to 171.41 or any rule issued or adopted pursuant thereto shall be a petty misdemeanor.

Under the Minnesota Statutes, punishments for crimes depend on the classification. In the case of this section:

Class	Prison	Fine
Misdemeanor	up to 90 days	up to $1,000
Petty misdemeanor		up to $300
