Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 18A:3B-73.2

  • Higher education: means that education which is provided by any or all of the public institutions of higher education as herein defined and any or all equivalent private institutions. See New Jersey Statutes 18A:1-1
  • Public school: means a school, under college grade, which derives its support entirely or in part from public funds. See New Jersey Statutes 18A:1-1
3. A public school that includes any of the grades seven through 12 and that issues student identification cards, and an institution of higher education that issues student identification cards, may, in addition to the telephone number for the NJ Hopeline and contact information for a crisis text line, provide contact information for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, an on-campus crisis center, or any other mental health support service.
