- Employee: includes the holder of any position or employment. See New Jersey Statutes 18A:1-1
- Higher education: means that education which is provided by any or all of the public institutions of higher education as herein defined and any or all equivalent private institutions. See New Jersey Statutes 18A:1-1
3. A four-year institution of higher education, an entity whose purpose includes supporting or benefitting the institution or its athletic programs, or any officer, director, or employee of the institution or entity, shall not compensate or cause compensation to be directed to a current or prospective student-athlete participating in intercollegiate athletics for use of the student’s name, image, or likeness.
