Terms Used In North Carolina General Statutes 108B-22
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the said district and territories and all dependencies. It is the purpose of this Article to provide financial assistance to Community Action Agencies and Limited Purpose Agencies (hereinafter referred to as “agency” or “agencies”) to enable those agencies to effectively mobilize public and private resources in order to promote economic self-sufficiency among the poor of the State and to expand those services to all political subdivisions of the State.
