78B-7-607.  Penalties.

(1)  A violation of a criminal provision of a protective order issued under this part is a class A misdemeanor.

Terms Used In Utah Code 78B-7-607

  • Court: means the district court or juvenile court. See Utah Code 78B-7-201
  • Protective order: means :
    (a) a cohabitant abuse protective order; or
    (b) an ex parte cohabitant abuse protective order. See Utah Code 78B-7-601
    (2)  A violation of a civil provision of a protective order issued under this part is contempt of court.
