79-7-201. Division of Outdoor Recreation — Creation — Purposes — Rulemaking authority.

Terms Used In Utah Code 79-7-201- Commission: means the Outdoor Adventure Commission created in Section 63C-21-201. See Utah Code 79-7-102
- Department: means the Department of Natural Resources created in Section 79-2-201. See Utah Code 79-1-102
- Division: means the Division of Outdoor Recreation. See Utah Code 79-7-102
- Executive director: means the executive director of the department who is appointed under Section 79-2-202. See Utah Code 79-1-102
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes a state, district, or territory of the United States. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
- Statute: A law passed by a legislature.
(a) |
There is created within the department the Division of Outdoor Recreation. |
(b) |
The division has the purpose of providing, maintaining, and coordinating motorized and nonmotorized recreation within the state as the recreation authority of the state. |

(a) |
The division is under the administration and general supervision of the executive director. |
(b) |
The division shall notify the commission as provided in statute on issues related to outdoor recreation. |

In accordance with Subsection (3)(a), the division shall make rules governing the collection of charges under Subsection 79-7-203(8). |
