Terms Used In Maine Revised Statutes Title 20-A Sec. 1468
- Commissioner: means the Commissioner of Education or the commissioner's designee. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 20-A Sec. 1
- Regional school unit: means the state-approved unit of school administration as established pursuant to chapter 103?A. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 20-A Sec. 1
- State board: means the State Board of Education. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 20-A Sec. 1
A regional school unit or other interested party may request that the state board reconsider decisions made by the commissioner under this subchapter. The state board has the authority to overturn decisions made by the commissioner. In exercising this power, the state board is limited by this subchapter. [PL 2009, c. 580, §11 (NEW).]
