Terms Used In Alaska Statutes 18.20.200

  • Gift: A voluntary transfer or conveyance of property without consideration, or for less than full and adequate consideration based on fair market value.
  • state: means the State of Alaska unless applied to the different parts of the United States and in the latter case it includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060

The department may accept on behalf of the state and may deposit separate and apart from public money and funds, a grant from the federal government, or gift or contribution from any source made to assist in meeting the cost of carrying out the purposes of Alaska Stat. § 18.20.14018.20.220. Federal funds received and not expended for these purposes shall be repaid to the United States.
