Except as otherwise provided in Section 41552, any person, firm, company, or corporation that violates any provision of this chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be punished by a fine of not less than ten dollars ($10) nor more than one thousand dollars ($1,000), or shall be imprisoned in the county jail for a term not exceeding six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment.

  • Conviction: A judgement of guilt against a criminal defendant.
  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
