Terms Used In 10 Guam Code Ann. § 2208
- Baseline: Projection of the receipts, outlays, and other budget amounts that would ensue in the future without any change in existing policy. Baseline projections are used to gauge the extent to which proposed legislation, if enacted into law, would alter current spending and revenue levels.
(1) For women 35 to 39 years of age, one baseline mammograph;
(2) For women 40 to 49 years of age, a mammogram every two years;
(3) For women 50 years of age and older, an annual mammogram; and
(4) For a woman of any age with a history of breast cancer or whose mother or sister has experienced breast cancer, a mammogram upon the recommendation of the woman’s physician.
(b) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the

Public Health and Social Services shall provide mammograph screening to those female residents of Guam who do not have health insurance or do not qualify for coverage under the Medically Indigent Program.
(c) The Director of Public Health and Social Services shall annually review the age and frequency guidelines for mammographic screening recommended by the American Cancer Society, and shall accordingly adjust the age and frequency requirements under subparagraphs (1) through (3) by rule, if necessary.
(d) For purposes of this section, the term low-dose mammography means the x-ray examination of the breast using equipment dedicated specifically for mammography, including but not limited to the x-ray tube, filter, compression device, screens, films, and cassettes, with an average radiation exposure delivery of less then one rad mid-breast, with two views for each breast.
