This Act does not affect:
(1) the professional responsibility obligations and

standards applicable to a lawyer or other licensed professional; or

(2) the obligation of a person to report abuse or

neglect, abandonment, or exploitation of a child or adult under the law of this State.

Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 750 ILCS 90/45
- Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.
- State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
