Sec. 2. As used in this chapter, “student” refers to a student who meets the following conditions:
(2) Is in at least grade 9.
(1) Is enrolled in a public school, a state accredited nonpublic school, or a nonpublic school that has requested and received from the state board specific approval for the school’s education program.
