Sec. 16. An executor or administrator of the estate of a decedent, whether a testator or intestate:

(1) has the same remedies to recover rents; and

  • Decedent: A deceased person.
  • Executor: A male person named in a will to carry out the decedent
  • Intestate: Dying without leaving a will.
  • Liabilities: The aggregate of all debts and other legal obligations of a particular person or legal entity.
  • Testator: A male person who leaves a will at death.
(2) is subject to the same liabilities to pay rents;

as the decedent.
