Sec. 2. As used in this chapter:
“Department” refers to a department of public parks, or department of parks and recreation of a consolidated city.
“Board” refers to a board of park commissioners, or board of parks and recreation of a consolidated city.

- Board: refers to a board of park commissioners, or board of parks and recreation of a consolidated city. See Indiana Code 36-10-4-2
- Department: refers to a department of public parks, or department of parks and recreation of a consolidated city. See Indiana Code 36-10-4-2
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
“District” means the area within the jurisdiction of a department.
