Terms Used In Iowa Code 622.50
- Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
- person: means individual, corporation, limited liability company, government or governmental subdivision or agency, business trust, estate, trust, partnership or association, or any other legal entity. See Iowa Code 4.1
- Register: means to issue a certificate showing the ownership of a certificated security or, in the case of an uncertificated security, to initiate or transfer an account showing ownership of the security. See Iowa Code 633D.2
- United States: includes all the states. See Iowa Code 4.1
The certificate of the register or receiver of any land office of the United States, as to the entry of land within the register’s or receiver’s district, shall be presumptive evidence of title, in the person entering, to the real estate therein named.
