Terms Used In Iowa Code 622.51
- Officer: means a certified law enforcement officer, fire fighter, emergency medical technician, paramedic, corrections officer, detention officer, jailer, probation or parole officer, communications officer, dispatcher, emergency management coordinator under chapter 29C, or any other law enforcement officer certified by the Iowa law enforcement academy and employed by a city, county, or state agency. See Iowa Code 622.10
- Signature: includes an electronic signature as defined in section 554D. See Iowa Code 4.1
In the cases contemplated in sections 622.41 through 622.50, the signature of the officer shall be presumed to be genuine until the contrary is shown.
