Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 23-2717

  • Injunction: An order of the court prohibiting (or compelling) the performance of a specific act to prevent irreparable damage or injury.
  • Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.

If a party fails to comply with a provision of a decree, temporary order or injunction issued under articles 27 through 38 ofchapter 23 of the Kansas Statutes Annotated, and amendments thereto, the obligation of the other party to make payments for support or maintenance or to permit visitation or parenting time is not suspended, but the other party may request by motion that the court grant an appropriate order.
