  • Legislative session: That part of a chamber's daily session in which it considers legislative business (bills, resolutions, and actions related thereto).

The chairperson of the senate ways and means committee and the chairperson of the house of representatives committee on appropriations shall be entitled to attend, or be represented by another member of such committees, at all hearings on the tentative budget prior to the convening of each regular legislative session. Each such chairperson or the representative of such chairperson, shall receive compensation and travel expenses and subsistence expenses or allowances as provided in Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 75-3212 and amendments thereto.
