  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201

The projects for energy conservation improvements for state facilities which are initiated by state agencies under this act are hereby approved for such state agencies for the purposes of subsection (b) of Kan. Stat. Ann. § 74-8905, and amendments thereto. The total costs of the projects for energy conservation improvements under this act for any fiscal year, exclusive of financing costs, shall not exceed the amounts approved for such energy conservation improvements by the state corporation commission.
