Every person elected to a board of education shall, before assuming the duties of his office, take the following oath, in addition to the constitutional oath:

  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
  • Oath: A promise to tell the truth.
  • Sworn: includes "affirmed" in all cases in which an affirmation may be substituted for an oath. See Kentucky Statutes 446.010
