The commission may accept gifts of property of any description, for any of the purposes of the commission, if the gift is accompanied by a suitable instrument, executed by the donor, setting forth the purposes for which the gift is made. The gift or the proceeds thereof when reduced to money shall be used by the commission only for the purpose for which given. The commission may exchange or sell, for the purposes set out in KRS
97.630 to 97.780, any of the property given to it for such purposes.
