  • Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.

The board of commissioners of Recreation District Number One of St. Tammany Parish may issue general obligation bonds as provided in La. Const. Art. VI, § 33 and state law for the purpose of acquiring, constructing, improving, maintaining, or operating any work of public improvement when authorized by a majority of the electors of the district voting in an election held for that purpose, subject to approval by the State Bond Commission.
