Terms Used In Maine Revised Statutes Title 30-A Sec. 5354

  • Development plan: means a plan proposed by an educational institution of higher learning or a private redevelopment corporation for the redevelopment and renewal of a project area. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 30-A Sec. 5352
  • Municipal legislative body: means :

  • Municipality: means any municipality which is authorized under chapter 203, directly or through its urban renewal authority, to undertake and carry out redevelopment or renewal projects. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 30-A Sec. 5352
  • Before approving any development plan under section 5353, the municipal legislative body or the municipality‘s urban renewal authority shall hold a public hearing on the development plan. This public hearing must be held not less than 7 nor more than 14 days after notice of the time, place and purpose of the hearing has been published in a newspaper having general circulation in the municipality.
