  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
  • state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories.      The board of a school district or board of directors of a public school academy may enter into a contract with the board of another school district or board of directors of a public school academy or with private persons to furnish transportation for nonresident pupils attending public and state approved nonpublic schools located within the school district or in other school districts. The price paid for the transportation shall not be less than the actual cost of the transportation to the school district or public school academy furnishing transportation.
