- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. The state board of education shall prescribe rules and regulations that it deems necessary to carry out the provisions of this act, in accordance with Act No. 88 of the Public Acts of 1943, as amended, being section 24.71 to 24.82 of the Compiled Laws of 1948, and subject to Act No. 197 of the Public Acts of 1952, as amended, being section 24.101 to 24.110 of the Compiled Laws of 1948.
