The record of the discharged veteran in the office of the recorder of deeds of the county of his or her residence, or other official evidence, in writing, of such person‘s discharge, other than dishonorable, from the military service, as provided for in sections 442.100 to 442.120, shall be deemed and taken as establishing prima facie evidence of such person’s eligibility hereunder.
