Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 40A:4-3
- budget: means the budget of a local unit. See New Jersey Statutes 40A:1-1
- local unit: means a county or municipality. See New Jersey Statutes 40A:1-1
The governing body of each local unit shall adopt a budget for each fiscal year. The budget of each local unit shall be prepared on a cash basis unless otherwise permitted by law.
