Terms Used In N.Y. Public Health Law 4413

  • Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.

Nothing contained in this article or any act amendatory thereof shall affect or impair the validity of any act done or right accruing, accrued or acquired or any order, judgment, or status established prior to the enactment of this article or prior to the amendment of any act amendatory thereof.

Medical corporations organized pursuant to the provisions of former article forty-four of the public health law in effect prior to the effectiveness of the provisions of this article may continue to operate pursuant to the provisions of law in effect prior to the effectiveness hereof.

Health maintenance organizations that applied for a license under article forty-three of the insurance law and receive approval under article twenty-eight of the public health law may continue under the provisions of the laws in existence on the effective date of this article.
