Oregon Statutes 332.163 – Notices related to seismic risk category of school
A school district or education service district:
Terms Used In Oregon Statutes 332.163
- School district: means a common or union high school district. See Oregon Statutes 332.002
(1) Must provide notification to the State Department of Geology and Mineral Industries when the district:
(a) Constructs a new school building; or
(b) Modifies an existing school building in a manner that may affect the seismic risk category of a school; and
(2) May provide to the parents or legal guardians of the students of the district information about the seismic risk category of a school, as determined under an assessment process approved by the State Department of Geology and Mineral Industries. [2012 c.61 § 4]
332.163 was enacted into law by the Legislative Assembly but was not added to or made a part of ORS Chapter 332 or any series therein by legislative action. See Preface to Oregon Revised Statutes for further explanation.
