Every community college district shall encourage high school students to start early on a college education by:
Terms Used In Oregon Statutes 341.450
- community college: means a public institution operated by a community college district for the purposes of providing courses of study limited to not more than two years' full-time attendance and designed to meet the needs of a geographical area by providing educational services, including but not limited to career and technical education programs or lower division collegiate programs. - Community college district: includes a community college service district. See Oregon Statutes 341.005
- district: means a district formed under this chapter to operate one or more community colleges or to secure educational services available at a community college. See Oregon Statutes 341.005
(1) Implementing a dual credit program, a two-plus-two program or another accelerated college credit program and making at least one such program available to each interested school district that is within the boundaries of the community college district.
(2) Collaborating with interested school districts that are within the boundaries of the community college district to facilitate the delivery of a dual credit program, a two-plus-two program or other accelerated college credit program. [1997 c.521 § 2; 2011 c.639 § 5; 2013 c.761 5,6]
