The Attorney General, at the request of the Oregon Racing Commission, shall bring an action in a court of competent jurisdiction to recover:

Terms Used In Oregon Statutes 462.408

  • Commission: means the Oregon Racing Commission. See Oregon Statutes 462.010
  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.

(1) Costs described in ORS § 462.405 (6) plus reasonable legal fees for the recovery action.

(2) An award contained in a final order described in ORS § 462.405 (7) plus reasonable legal fees for the recovery action. [2015 c.86 § 2]

 

462.408 was enacted into law by the Legislative Assembly but was not added to or made a part of ORS Chapter 462 or any series therein by legislative action. See Preface to Oregon Revised Statutes for further explanation.
