- incident of violence: shall include any event or occurrence where any person abuses or causes physical injury to another person, or threatens to abuse or to cause physical injury to another person. See Rhode Island General Laws 16-76.2-1
- person: may be construed to extend to and include co-partnerships and bodies corporate and politic. See Rhode Island General Laws 43-3-6
