Terms Used In Tennessee Code 36-5-806

  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
  • Child: means an individual, whether over or under the age of majority, who is or is alleged to be owed a duty of support by the individual's parent or who is or is alleged to be the beneficiary of a support order directed to the parent. See Tennessee Code 36-5-2101

The persons against whom the administrative orders in §§ 36-5-802, child support payment” class=”unlinked-ref” datatype=”S” sessionyear=”2021″ statecd=”TN” title=”36″>36-5-803 and 36-5-804 were issued shall have a right to administratively appeal such orders pursuant to part 10 of this chapter.
