All persons or entities complying with any requests, administrative orders, or administrative subpoenas issued pursuant to this part shall be absolutely immune from any liability, civil or criminal, for compliance with the terms of such requests, administrative orders or administrative subpoenas. Nothing herein shall be construed to mean, however, that such immunity applies to any person‘s civil or criminal liability for support or for failing to provide support as directed by any tribunal‘s judicial or administrative order, or by law or by regulation.

  • Law: includes decisional and statutory law and rules and regulations having the force of law. See Tennessee Code 36-5-2101
  • Person: means an individual, corporation, business trust, estate, trust, partnership, limited liability company, association, joint venture, public corporation, government, or governmental subdivision, agency, or instrumentality, or any other legal or commercial entity.   • Tribunal: means a court, administrative agency, or quasi-judicial entity authorized to establish, enforce, or modify support orders or to determine parentage of a child. See Tennessee Code 36-5-2101
