- Beneficiary: A person who is entitled to receive the benefits or proceeds of a will, trust, insurance policy, retirement plan, annuity, or other contract. Source: OCC
A policy provision that is not otherwise subject to this subchapter may not make an individual accident and health insurance policy or any portion of the policy less favorable in any way to the insured or the beneficiary than the policy provisions that are subject to this chapter.
