Terms Used In Texas Local Government Code 344.159
- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- Municipality: means a general-law municipality, home-rule municipality, or special-law municipality. See Texas Local Government Code 1.005
- Person: includes corporation, organization, government or governmental subdivision or agency, business trust, estate, trust, partnership, association, and any other legal entity. See Texas Government Code 311.005
The board may contract with the following entities to furnish the staff, facilities, equipment, programs, or services the board considers necessary for the effective operation of the district:
(1) a municipality, county, special district, or other political subdivision of the state;
(2) a state or federal agency;
(3) an individual; or
(4) a private person.
