- Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.
The board president shall execute the district’s general obligation bonds in the district’s name, and the board secretary shall countersign the general obligation bonds in the manner provided by Chapter 618, Government Code.
