  • Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
  • Written: includes any representation of words, letters, symbols, or figures. See Texas Government Code 311.005

Annually, the board shall file with the secretary of the city written notice that specifies the assessments the district will impose in the district’s next fiscal year in sufficient clarity to describe the assessments for the operation and maintenance of the district and the assessments for the payment of debt service of obligations issued or incurred by the district.
