Terms Used In Utah Code 11-68-101
- Authority: means the State Fair Park Authority, created in Section 11-68-201. See Utah Code 11-68-101
- Board: means the authority board, created in Section 11-68-301. See Utah Code 11-68-101
- City: includes , depending on population, a metro township as defined in Section
10-3c-102 . See Utah Code 68-3-12.5 - Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Development: means :(5)(a) the demolition, construction, reconstruction, modification, expansion, or improvement of a building, utility, infrastructure, landscape, parking lot, park, trail, recreational amenity, or other facility; and(5)(b) the planning of, arranging for, or participation in any of the activities listed in Subsection (5)(a). See Utah Code 11-68-101
- Division: means the Division of Facilities Construction and Management created in Section 63A-5b-301. See Utah Code 11-68-101
- Executive director: means the executive director hired by the board under Section 11-68-302. See Utah Code 11-68-101
- Land: includes :
(18)(a) land;(18)(b) a tenement;(18)(c) a hereditament;(18)(d) a water right;(18)(e) a possessory right; and(18)(f) a claim. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5- Property: includes both real and personal property. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes a state, district, or territory of the United States. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
(2) “Board” means the authority board, created in Section 11-68-301.(3) “Business related experience” means at least three years of professional experience in business administration, marketing, advertising, economic development, or a related field.(4) “Capital development projects” means the same as that term is defined in Section 63A-5b-401.(5) “Development” means:(5)(a) the demolition, construction, reconstruction, modification, expansion, or improvement of a building, utility, infrastructure, landscape, parking lot, park, trail, recreational amenity, or other facility; and(5)(b) the planning of, arranging for, or participation in any of the activities listed in Subsection (5)(a).(6) “Division” means the Division of Facilities Construction and Management created in Section 63A-5b-301.(7) “Executive director” means the executive director hired by the board under Section 11-68-302.(8) “Fair corporation” means the Utah State Fair Corporation, created byLaws of Utah 1995, Chapter 260 .(9)(9)(a) “Fair park land” means the property owned by the state located at:(9)(a)(i) 155 North 1000 West, Salt Lake City, Utah, consisting of approximately 50 acres;(9)(a)(ii) 1139 West North Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah, consisting of approximately 10.5 acres; and(9)(a)(iii) 1220 West North Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah, consisting of approximately two acres.(9)(b) “Fair park land” includes any land acquired by the authority under Subsection 11-68-201(6)(i).
