Except as otherwise provided, a
person found guilty of a violation of this part shall be punished as follows:
(1) |
upon the first and second conviction, the person is guilty of a class B misdemeanor; or |

Under the Utah Code, punishments for crimes depend on the classification. In the case of this section:

class B misdemeanor | up to 6 months | up to $1,000 |
