Attachment: A procedure by which a person's property is seized to pay judgments levied by the court.
Business entity: means a sole proprietorship, partnership, association, joint venture, corporation, firm, trust, foundation, or other organization or entity used in carrying on a business. See Utah Code 10-3-1303
Compensation: means anything of economic value, however designated, which is paid, loaned, granted, given, donated, or transferred to any person or business entity by anyone other than the governmental employer for or in consideration of personal services, materials, property, or any other thing whatsoever. See Utah Code 10-3-1303
Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
elected or appointed to the office of mayor, commissioner, or council member; or
who is considered to be elected to the office of mayor, commissioner, or council member by a municipal legislative body in accordance with Section 20A-1-206. See Utah Code 10-3-1303
Fair market value: The price at which an asset would change hands in a transaction between a willing, informed buyer and a willing, informed seller.
Gift: A voluntary transfer or conveyance of property without consideration, or for less than full and adequate consideration based on fair market value.
Governing body: means collectively the legislative body and the executive of any municipality. See Utah Code 10-1-104
House shapefile: means the electronic shapefile that stores the boundary of each of the 75 Utah House districts. See Utah Code 36-1-201.1
Interest rate: The amount paid by a borrower to a lender in exchange for the use of the lender's money for a certain period of time. Interest is paid on loans or on debt instruments, such as notes or bonds, either at regular intervals or as part of a lump sum payment when the issue matures. Source: OCC
Local charge: means one or more of the following charges paid by a public service provider to a county or municipality:
a metro township as that term is defined in Section 10-2a-403 unless the term is used in the context of authorizing, governing, or otherwise regulating the provision of municipal services. See Utah Code 10-1-104
Senate shapefile: means the electronic shapefile that stores the boundary of each of the 29 Utah State Senate districts. See Utah Code 36-1-101.1
Shapefile: means the digital vector storage format for storing geometric location and associated attribute information. See Utah Code 36-1-101.1
Shapefile: means the digital vector storage format for storing geometric location and associated attribute information and includes the boundary change in Subsection 36-1-201. See Utah Code 36-1-201.1
State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes a state, district, or territory of the United States. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
Substantial interest: means the ownership, either legally or equitably, by an individual, the individual's spouse, or the individual's minor children, of at least 10% of the outstanding shares of a corporation or 10% interest in any other business entity. See Utah Code 10-3-1303
System of care: means a broad, flexible array of services and supports that:
serves a child with or who is at risk for complex emotional and behavioral needs;
is community based;
is informed about trauma;
builds meaningful partnerships with families and children;
integrates service planning, service coordination, and management across state and local entities;
includes individualized case planning;
provides management and policy infrastructure that supports a coordinated network of interdepartmental service providers, contractors, and service providers who are outside of the department; and
is guided by the type and variety of services needed by a child with or who is at risk for complex emotional and behavioral needs and by the child's family. See Utah Code 62A-1-104
