The Washington apple commission shall appoint producer members to positions one through five on the commission. The Washington state fruit commission shall appoint producer members to positions six through eight on the commission. The director shall appoint a producer who derives a substantial portion of his or her income from the production of winter pears.

Terms Used In Washington Code 15.26.060

  • Director: means the director of the department of agriculture or his or her duly authorized representative. See Washington Code 15.26.030
  • Producer: means any person who owns or is engaged in the business of commercially producing tree fruit or has orchard plantings intended for commercial tree fruit production. See Washington Code 15.26.030
