If the lienholder is not proceeding in accordance with the provisions of this chapter, disposition may be ordered or restrained on appropriate terms and conditions. If the disposition has occurred the lien debtor or any person entitled to notification or whose security interest has been made known to the lienholder prior to the disposition has a right to recover from the lienholder any loss caused by a failure to comply with the provisions of this chapter.

  • Lien: A claim against real or personal property in satisfaction of a debt.
  • Lienholder: means a person who, by statute, has acquired a lien on the property of the lien debtor, or such person's successor in interest. See Washington Code 60.11.010
  • person: may be construed to include the United States, this state, or any state or territory, or any public or private corporation or limited liability company, as well as an individual. See Washington Code 1.16.080
