Idaho Code 33-4701 - Youth Education Fund Established

     There is hereby established in the state treasury a fund to be known as the youth education fund. Moneys in the fund shall be used exclusively for the production and purchase of radio and television advertising designed to advise children of the risks and problems associated with the use of alcohol, drugs and tobacco. Moneys in the fund shall be comprised of appropriations, donations, contributions, gifts or grants from any source for purposes consistent with the provisions of this chapter. Moneys in the fund are subject to appropriation to the governor's commission on alcohol and drug abuse for expenditure pursuant to the provisions of this chapter.

     The state board of education, the department of health and welfare, the Idaho state police and the transportation department may contribute funds and seek grants to the youth education fund.

     Not less than seventy percent (70%) of the moneys in the fund shall be used each year for advertising pertaining to alcohol and alcohol abuse.
