Terms Used In Missouri Laws 367.200

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
  • person: may extend and be applied to bodies politic and corporate, and to partnerships and other unincorporated associations. See Missouri Laws 1.020

If any person, firm, partnership or corporation to whom or which sections 367.100 to 367.200 apply, or any officer, agent or representative of such person, firm, partnership or corporation violates any of the provisions of said sections or shall attempt to transact any supervised business whatsoever in the name or on behalf of such person, firm, partnership or corporation, while he or it fails or refuses to comply with provisions of sections 367.100 to 367.200, each such person, firm, partnership, or corporation, agent, officer, or representative shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor.
