- Settlement: Parties to a lawsuit resolve their difference without having a trial. Settlements often involve the payment of compensation by one party in satisfaction of the other party's claims.
The provisions of sections 407.1060 to 407.1068 shall apply to any transfer of structured settlement payment rights pursuant to a transfer agreement reached on or after August 28, 1999.
