If an inspector or the Officer accepts any money, gift or other thing of value from a person, firm or corporation with the knowledge that the money, gift or other thing of value is to influence the inspector’s or Officer’s official duty pursuant to NRS 583.255 to 583.555, inclusive, the inspector or Officer must be summarily discharged from office and is guilty of a category C felony and shall be punished as provided in NRS 193.130.

- Gift: A voluntary transfer or conveyance of property without consideration, or for less than full and adequate consideration based on fair market value.
