Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 26:3A2-16

  • person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. Each person who shall have been employed as a full-time employee of a local health agency whose employment by such agency was governed by the provisions of the Civil Service law and whose employment by such agency shall have been terminated by reason of the assumption of its activities and responsibilities by another local health agency shall be transferred to such other local agency, shall be assigned duties comparable to those previously performed by him, and shall be entitled to and credited with all rights and privileges accruing to him by reason of his tenure in such previous office or position, the same as if the entire period of such previous employment had been in the position to which he shall have been transferred. His compensation shall be fixed at not less than the amount received by him at the time of transfer.
