- Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.

The Department, upon receiving a certified copy of any amendment or modification to a support order entered pursuant to § 34141 of this Chapter, shall initiate, as though it were a support order of this territory, necessary procedures to amend or modify the income withholding order of this Territory which was based upon the entered support order. additional source of income in another state, it shall notify the agency which requested the income withholding of the changes within five (5) working days of receiving that information and shall forward to that agency all information it has or can obtain with respect to the obligor’s new address and the name and address of the obligor’s new employer or other source of income. The Department shall include with the notice a certified copy of the income withholding order in effect in this Territory.
